Got to N.Y - walk around Harlem-

Left Vancouver last night and got to N.Y this morning.

The beautiful sunny weather welcomed me.

Took air train and subway and head to the place to stay...

It is really convenient with subway and bus everywhere.
Even I am bad at direction, I got to the place without getting lost.

I will stay in Harlem for 11 nights first.

It is shared apartment. I have another room mate who is staying here for a month for sightseeing.

Harlem is well known for the area of African American

Especially, the part where I am staying is West Harlem. Mainly Dominican American are living this area.

After I done unpacking, went for looking around this area.

The peple I saw here were 90 % black ppl. Maybe 1 % of Asian ppl.

I feel totally different from walking around in Van.

The buildings are really beautiful and I was attracted by the design of church, too.

Today is Sunday.
Then, good to visit church cuz they have gospel style.

I went to the church where tourists can get in as well.
It was like concert hall with 2nd floor. I sat down there and enjoyed it.

I felt like it was music festival. I was impressed by their songs.
Getting together including kids and adults, it is such an important occasion for them.

For lunch, I dropped by the famous cafe in Harlem.
"Settepani's"

Got almond croissant which was recommended by kind clerk.

The wall beside the theater was filled with tons of message for Michael.
Also, there were some shops which sell his CD and T-shirts.
As I was seeing some messages, I was deeply impressed what he left in this world and people's heart.

Almost I looked around Harlem area, then headed to the south to visit Central Park.
